Subaru Pimps Legacy Concept at 2009 Detroit Auto Show

2009’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit concluded earlier this week, and presented a wide variety of new and interesting vehicle concepts – one of which being Subaru’s Legacy. Suba is hoping to bring a full size sedan back into popularity throughout world markets.

Their new conceptual design is a far cry from first generation Legacy cars.

The Legacy concept contains a 3.6 liter boxer engine that drives all four wheels with help from Subaru’s patented All Wheel Drive (AWD)  system. A large front end holds in that 3.6 liter drive train, with a bold grille and LED headlights. This model is painted with a high gloss Ultimate Silver paint, but we can probably estimate the amount of dark blue versions you’ll be seeing on roads. This Subaru also strays from traditional Japanese design and engineering, moving towards a more European style of automobile. Hopefully, this move will not turn off old school Suba fans, and turn on newcomers.

The Legacy Concept’s interior is composed of futuristic automotive and entertainment features, including touch screens menus and external cameras.

Expect a production model Subaru Legacy to hit dealership lots sometime later this year.
