In honor of his life and remembering the excitement and enthusiasm he brought to the sport of Rally racing, 1,100 Subaru vehicles gathered in McRae’s homeland of Scotland to travel for 9 hours. Fans and racing enthusiasts cheered and applauded along the way. The following morning, 1,086 Subaru’s (led by Colin McRae’s original 1996 Impreza rally car) formed a half-mile long sign spelling out “Colin McRae” with a Scottish flag to cap it all off. The event broke two Guinness World Records – for the largest sign made out of cars, and for the largest parade of automobiles.
